Liverpool Transfer News: Latest Reds Rumours, Stars Targeted by Jurgen Klopp
Liverpool have hit a snag in their pursuit of Barcelona right-back Aleix Vidal, as the Catalan giants reportedly told Jurgen Klopp and Co. they’d have to stump up £45 million to secure his services.
Vidal has found chances few and far between at the Camp Nou since his transfer from Sevilla last year, and Liverpool were in a position to offer the 26-year-old an escape route to regular football.
However, Mundo Deportivo has reported that Barcelona will only sell their full-back if a team triggers the eye-watering release clause in his contract—via Mark Brus of Metro.

This much could prompt Klopp to look elsewhere for a new defender, and fans would like to see a deal cross the line before the start of the new campaign.

While Nathaniel Clyne has shone at Anfield this term, on the opposite flank, Alberto Moreno has left a lot to be desired.
The Spaniard has been excellent going forward for the Reds, but his lack of discipline defensively has cost his side dearly on one too many occasions.
Even if Vidal slips through Klopp’s fingers, the German still has options.
According to Lorient vice-president Alex Hayes, Liverpool have submitted an offer for left-back Raphael Guerreiro, per Ouest France, via TalkSport:
"No one wants to see Raphael leave, especially the president. He will only be transferred if a club makes an offer that we can't refuse. For the moment four major foreign clubs, including Dortmund and Liverpool, have made an offer.
"

Elsewhere, Liverpool target Rafa Silva is seemingly open to a move to the Premier League.
The Benfica star’s agent, Antonio Araujo, said that his client suits England’s top flight and is considering their interest, per IB Times (h/t Liam Corless of the Daily Mirror):
"Rafa's style of play can help him adapt in the Premier League and there have been interest from clubs in England. Not only England, but from other countries too. We will do what is best for Rafa cause he has a potential to become a great player.
"

It’s no secret that Klopp is looking to make tweaks to his Liverpool side. The German has worked wonders with a rather lacklustre squad, and the summer could see him finally build a team he’s satisfied with.
Bringing in a new defender to shore up the shaky back line will be something of a priority, while a new frontman will also be on the club’s wish list.
