Cardinals' Yadier Molina Makes Catch After Ball Bounces Off Aledmys Diaz's Glove

St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina has his teammates’ backs.

In the bottom of the seventh inning in what became a 2-1 road loss to the Washington Nationals on Thursday night, a Stephen Drew pop-up bounced off the glove of shortstop Aledmys Diaz.

There seemed to be confusion with pitcher Mike Leake, which resulted in the gaffe. Luckily, Molina was there to save the day.

He calmly snagged the ball in midair and then smirked as he walked back to the dish.
