NASCAR at Charlotte 2016 Qualifying Results: Live Leaderboard Updates
Martin Truex Jr. will sit on the pole for Sunday's Coca-Cola 600 after narrowly edging out Joey Logano in the final round of qualifying Thursday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Truex earned his ninth career pole by running the 1.5-mile lap in 28.077 seconds, which translates to 192.328 mph. That beat out Logano, who ran it in 28.124 seconds and was looking to sweep all three rounds of qualifying for the second time this season.
Logano is coming off a win in last weekend's NASCAR All-Star race, also in Charlotte.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will get third while Denny Hamlin, who has made the finals in every qualifying in 2016, starts fourth.
