Dikembe Mutombo Denies Giving Bismack Biyombo Finger Wag: 'We Need to Talk'
Bismack Biyombo is in trouble.
The Toronto Raptors center has become a star this postseason thanks to his superhuman ability to protect the rim.
Seemingly each time he blocks a shot by the Cleveland Cavaliers, the 23-year-old honors fellow Congolese shot-swatter Dikembe Mutombo with a finger wag.
"I feel I got the license from Mutombo," Biyombo said after the Raptors won Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals, per Bruce Arthur of the Toronto Star.
No, no, no.
TMZ caught up with the retired Mutombo on Tuesday, and he denied lending the celebration to Biyombo.
"I don't know when that conversation took place," he said with a laugh. "I don't know. Him and I need to talk this summer."
When asked whether Biyombo could earn it with a trip to the NBA Finals, Mutombo held his ground.
"I just need to talk to him," he said. "Him and I need to sit down."
