Major League Baseball Makes Stance Its Official On-Field Sock
Stance Socks is taking over major sports one by one.
Last year, the company became the official on-court sock of the NBA. Now, it has struck a deal with Major League Baseball to get its products on the diamond.
On Monday, MLB Communications announced that Stance is now the official on-field sock for the league. According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, the deal will go into full effect starting with the 2017 season, but the partnership will start this year.

Stance will offer special socks for both the American League and the National League players for the 2016 MLB All-Star Week, which will be held in San Diego. MLB players wear the uniforms of their respective teams during the All-Star Game, but the Home Run Derby features special jerseys—and now socks.
Unlike the NBA, not every player's socks can be seen during games. The majority of players choose to wear their pants over their socks, but there are some who choose to roll their pants up to their knees.

Stance is obviously hoping this partnership with MLB will encourage players to wear the high socks.
The company has designed custom socks for individual NBA teams to wear during games. With this partnership, it is sure to do the same for baseball teams, giving players a fresh look.
