Seattle Mariners left fielder Franklin Gutierrez may not have the best batting average (.200) right now, but he can hit the ball a long way when he gets a hold of one.
Check out what he did to a John Lamb fastball Saturday.
In the top of the fourth inning, the Cincinnati Reds southpaw left a pitch to Gutierrez hanging over the middle of the plate—and he subsequently had to squint to see where the ball landed. It left the yard in a hurry and landed halfway up the left field bleachers 473 feet from home plate.
