In the top of the seventh inning of Saturday night's game, Jones—the potential go-ahead run—had a chance to tag up and go for second on a fly ball to deep right-center. But he knew better than to try to run on Trout.

Staying put turned out to be a wise decision. The four-time All-Star fired a perfect throw to second base, leaving Jones impressed. After the play, the two center fielders had some fun with a brief exchange from their respective positions.
Jones, a five-time All-Star, was stranded at first, but that's better than being thrown out at second and killing any chance of a rally. The Orioles pulled out a 3-1 victory thanks to a two-out home run by Matt Wieters in the ninth inning.
