NASCAR Sprint Showdown 2016: Live Leaderboard Results and Standings

Trevor Bayne, Greg Biffle and Kyle Larson punched their tickets to Saturday night's Sprint All-Star Race with exciting wins in Saturday afternoon's Sprint Showdown at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Bayne captured the checkered flag just a hair ahead of Chase Elliott to win the opening segment.

Biffle's win was far less dramatic but easily the most dominant of the early afternoon. The driver of the No. 16 car secured passage to the 13th All-Star Race of his career with the easy win.

But the biggest drama of the day, thus far, came on the final lap of Segment 3. 

Larson, who captured the first checkered flag of his Sprint Cup Series career, held the lead on the restart for the final 10-lap segment, but he was forced to hold off Elliott with the two cars bumping and banging the whole way down the final lap to the start-finish line. 

Elliott, despite coming up just short in two segments of racing, will advance to the All-Star Race field by winning the fan vote.

Danica Patrick was the runner up and will join him.
