
John Cena Named Host of 2016 ESPYs: Latest Comments and Reaction
WWE Superstar John Cena was announced as the host of the 2016 ESPY Awards on Thursday.

The 24th edition of the ESPYs will take place July 13, and Cena will become the first professional wrestler to host.
Cena will also become the first athlete to host the ESPYs since LeBron James did so in 2007.
The 39-year-old Massachusetts native has been the face of WWE for more than a decade, and he continues to broaden his horizons beyond the squared circle.
Cena's film career has begun to flourish thanks to acclaimed appearances in hit comedies such as Trainwreck, Sisters and Daddy's Home.
He has also been a guest host on NBC's Today on numerous occasions and is the host of the Fox reality show American Grit.
The leader of the Cenation has been out of action in WWE for the past several months because of a shoulder injury, but he is scheduled to return on the Memorial Day edition of Raw.
Crossover appeal is hugely important when it comes to the success of WWE, which is why Hollywood star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson continues to be utilized by the company when available.
Cena's delving into the mainstream sports world will make a larger audience aware of WWE, and that could prove to be a huge help in terms of driving new viewership.
