Southpaw Ashur Tolliver wears a glove for fielding when he pitches for the Bowie (Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles), but as it turns out, he doesn't really need it.
He's more than capable of making plays with his bare hand.
Leading off the top of the seventh inning of Wednesday's game, left fielder KC of the Reading (Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia ) hit a line drive right back up the middle. It looked like a sure base hit, but Tolliver reacted to the by taking a stab with his left hand.
