Supreme athletic talent runs in the Brady family, apparently.
Maya Brady, niece of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, is a freshman at Oaks Christian School in Southern California.
According to Rhiannon Potkey of the Ventura County Star, the shortstop has rattled off some impressive stats, including a .391 batting average with 36 hits, 30 runs scored and 12 RBI, along with 13 stolen bases on 13 attempts.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Maya, whose mother was a standout pitcher at Fresno State University, has played several sports, but softball is her No. 1.
Per Potkey, she said, "I just really found a passion for softball, and it was something I was always excited to do."
As for young Brady's famous uncle? Here's what her mother Maureen, who is the New England QB's sister, had to say, per Potkey:
"He is totally into it. He loves any chance he gets to see Maya play. Unfortunately, with the distance and everything he has going on with football and his own family, it's not very often. But he follows what she is doing as much as he can.
"
Maya added, "He just says to try your hardest and supports me a lot."
The future looks bright for the young phenom. She has already made a verbal commitment to play her college softball at UCLA.
