Draymond Green Praises Women's Fundamentals: 'I Learn More from the WNBA'

Laura DeptaMay 17, 2016

Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors is a man who says what's on his mind—and makes sure to give credit to those who have influenced his life.

He has a great respect for women, and in March, he talked about gender equality in a video for Lean In.

Green also respects women's abilities on the basketball court.

He told Lee Jenkins of Sports Illustrated:

"

In the NBA there's always a guy who is only around because he can jump. He doesn't have a clue about the fundamentals. I learn more from the WNBA. They know how to dribble, how to pivot, how to use the shot fake.

"

This comes from a guy who has some serious fundamental skills, too. Green averaged 14.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game in the 2015-16 regular season.
