Real Madrid Transfer News: Paulo Dybala, James Rodriguez, Isco, Latest Rumours
Real Madrid have reportedly made Juventus striker Paulo Dybala their "top target" this summer, and the Argentinian would be ahead of James Rodriguez and Isco in the pecking order despite playing a different position.
That's according to El Chiringuito (h/t Sport), which noted he "has become the player most wanted by Madrid's coaching staff."
As Bleacher Report UK noted, the youngster has had an exceptional debut season with the Bianconeri:

The 22-year-old's goals helped fire the Old Lady to the Serie A title, and he's emerged as one of the best young players in European football.
Football writers Liam Canning and David Amoyal are among the many admirers he's earned during his time in Turin:
As for Real, they could do with adding to their forward options as they have few candidates beyond their first-choice front three except Lucas Vazquez, and he netted just four goals this season.
Dybala certainly possesses the technique necessary to thrive at the Bernabeu, as demonstrated by Lega Serie A:
Here are how his stats compare with Rodriguez and Isco:
| Apps (all comps) | 45 | 32 | 42 |
| Goals | 23 | 8 | 5 |
| Assists | 9 | 10 | 12 |
Neither midfielder has had a particularly strong season in the Spanish capital by their own standards, so it wouldn't be overly surprising if Dybala did find himself ahead of them in the pecking order following a move.
As noted by La Liga writer Andrew Gaffney, the pair can often hinder the side's rhythm in midfield:
According to Manu Sainz of AS (h/t Goal's Tom Maston), Paris Saint-Germain are readying an €80 million (£62.5 million) bid for James, which "could eventually rise to €100 million (£78.2 million)."
While he is clearly a player of outstanding talent—and at 24 there remains plenty of time for him to salvage his career at the Bernabeu—it equally wouldn't be surprising if Los Blancos did decide to cash in on him and recoup a great deal of money.
As for Dybala, their admiration of him is understandable, but having only been with Juve for one campaign the Italian club will undoubtedly be determined to keep hold of their young star. He may be wanted by Real and a whole host of other European clubs, but they'll face a real fight to prise him away.
