Tiger Woods Struggles to Find the Green, Hits 3 Straight Shots into Water Hazard

Kyle NewportMay 16, 2016

Monday was a mixed bag for Tiger Woods fans.

The good news is that Woods—who had to undergo multiple procedures on his back late last year—is healthy enough now to be out on the golf course.

The bad news is that it looks like the 40-year-old golfer has some rust he needs to shake off.

On the 10th tee at Congressional Country Club, Woods had trouble with a water hazard. He hit not one, not two, but three shots into the water. It doesn't get much rougher than that.

Alex Miceli of Golfweek reported in April that Woods had registered for the 2016 U.S. Open. While we wait to find out if the veteran golfer will in fact play in the tournament, it's good to see him on the comeback trail right now.
