There's a reason East Carolina senior Avion Jones is a two-time first-team All-American.

He has some crazy hops.

On Saturday, Jones showcased his incredible athleticism during a record-setting performance at the 2016 AAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. All he did was set an NCAA record with a high jump of 2.31 meters, which is about seven feet, seven inches.

For context, Jones would have cleared former NBA All-Star Yao Ming on that jump. That's just crazy.

Some athletes can't believe the ridiculous feats they accomplish—and that was the case here.

The good news for Jones is that this wasn't a dream. This actually happened, making him the proud new owner of an NCAA record.
