Chicago Fan Proposes to Girlfriend with Help of Cubs 1B Anthony Rizzo

Taking a picture with first baseman Anthony Rizzo would normally be the highlight of the day—or year, for that matter—for any diehard Chicago Cubs fan.

However, for two Cubs fans, their photo with the two-time All-Star wound up getting overshadowed in a big way. Because getting engaged is kind of a big deal.

Thanks to Fanatics, Cubs fan Steve Milsap popped the question to his girlfriend, Leslie, with the help of Rizzo. Given that Leslie thought the photo op was all about her nine-year-old daughter getting a chance to meet her favorite player, she was totally caught by surprise.

It was just the perfect proposal, and of course, Leslie said yes.
