Mark Trumbo Suffers Calf Injury vs. Brewers
The Baltimore Orioles announced slugger Mark Trumbo left Tuesday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers with a left calf contusion.
Trumbo was a tremendous pickup for the Orioles in 2016, despite slumping in the second half. He led the league with 47 home runs and helped lead the team to the playoffs as a wild card team in the American League.
The 31-year-old has been durable throughout his career. The only substantial time he has missed came in 2014 when a stress fracture in his foot caused him to spend more than two months on the disabled list.

The Orioles are as capable of hitting home runs as any team in Major League Baseball. Power hitters Manny Machado, Adam Jones and Jonathan Schoop are still in the lineup.
The Orioles have Seth Smith and Joey Rickard to fill in with Trumbo out. It's not an ideal situation, but the Orioles will adapt until their big hitter is able to make it back.
