Baylor Demolishes Old Stadium by Blowing It Up
Katie RichcreekMay 14, 2016
Sixty-four years of Baylor football history came crashing down in less than 30 seconds Saturday morning when the final remnants of Floyd Casey Stadium were demolished.
The still-standing parts of the team's former home included the press box and a portion of the stands where fans had watched the Bears play from 1950 until they moved to McLane Stadium in 2014. Much of the old stadium had been dismantled prior to its scheduled implosion.
Baylor played its final game at Floyd Casey in 2013, clinching its first Big 12 championship with a 30-10 rout of the Texas Longhorns.
