It's been another week filled with surprising headlines and sad stories in the land of WWE, but all is not lost. A beloved WWE legend is about to get the Hollywood biopic treatment.
Let's look at some of the biggest stories from the past week.

The bad news just keeps coming for Adam Rose. Just weeks after WWE suspended him for a wellness policy violation, Rose was arrested, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Because the arrest stemmed from a domestic abuse charge, WWE extended Rose's suspension indefinitely in accordance with its own internal policy.
Rose has yet to issue a public statement since the incident, but with all the spring cleaning happening on the roster, this could be the end for The Social Outcast.
Brooklyn Brawler Released
After working for WWE as a jobber and backstage producer for over 30 years, the company released The Brooklyn Brawler last week, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com.
Brawler, real name Steve Lombardi, had been serving in a backstage capacity for several years, but he would still pop up occasionally for a random legends match or gimmick Battle Royal.
Brawler made some comments on Twitter that some might feel are connected to his release, but he has yet to make any kind of statement as to why he was let go or what his future plans are.
If another promotion was looking to bolster its management staff, Lombardi would be a great hire. He has more experience in this business than some Hall of Famers, and having served as both a wrestler and part of management gives him a unique set of skills.
Let's hope The Brooklyn Brawler finds his way into the WWE Hall of Fame someday because he deserves to be recognized for his decades of hard work.
Alberto Del Rio Dating Paige

WWE's talents live hectic lives, so it makes sense for them to date each other because it would be the only way they could see their significant others on a regular basis.
It appears Alberto Del Rio and Paige have gone public with their relationship based on some pictures floating around Twitter (h/t Marc Middleton of Wrestling Inc.).
This might seem like a strange pairing, but love comes in all shapes and sizes, so even a Mexican aristocrat and a British glampire can find happiness together.
It's doubtful WWE would ever acknowledge this relationship on the air unless it became serious.
Andre the Giant Biography in the Works
According to Wrestling Inc.'s Raj Giri, an Andre the Giant biopic is in the works from Lion Forge Comics and Stone Village Productions.
Nobody has been cast as the iconic wrestler at this point in the process, but just knowing we could see a movie about one of the most beloved Superstars of all time will make a lot of people happy.
Andre was the kind of talent who put butts in seats. People were in awe of his presence, and without Andre, Hulk Hogan may never have reached the heights he did during his career.
He may have made his living as a pro wrestler, but the general public grew to love him thanks to his memorable role in the film The Princess Bride.
It will be interesting to see if producers choose to cast someone who is even close to Andre's size or if someone more famous will be selected, with special effects being used to make him seem taller.
Christian Released
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Wrestle Zone), WWE has released Christian from his contract.
The company is still airing new episodes of Christian's show with Edge on the WWE Network, so this might have to do more with a transition in roles than an actual firing.
"Laughing out loud watching the @EdgeRatedR & @Christian4Peeps show on @WWENetwork! How do they get away with that? pic.twitter.com/sa8ZLEIqDX
— Joey Styles (@JoeyStyles) May 3, 2016"
Christian has been inactive as a wrestler for a couple of years, and WWE may offer him some kind of legends deal so he can be an ambassador for the company.
The Canadian Superstar had a long and storied career. He and Edge helped usher in a new era of tag team wrestling in WWE, and his time in TNA helped establish him as a viable singles star.
We shouldn't expect this to be the end of Christian's time with WWE, but it may throw the possibility of an official retirement match out the window.
