Amir Khan Talks Up Potential for Manny Pacquiao Fight
After his brutal knockout defeat at the hands of Canelo Alvarez, Amir Khan has claimed his next fight could be against ring legend Manny Pacquiao.
Edward Chaykovsky of Boxing Scene quoted the British fighter after his recent defeat saying his former training camp partner will fight again and could face him.
"That fight with Pacquiao is definitely a possibility," said Khan. "We are just going to sit down with the team. For sure I think he will fight again."
Khan and the Filipino superstar worked together under trainer Freddie Roach at the famed Wild Card Boxing gym.

The Olympian said he is ready to jump straight back into a big fight despite being comprehensively knocked out by Alvarez in Las Vegas, per Chaykovsky.
Danny Garcia has urged Khan against a rematch with him, telling the Brit it would be a "dumb decision" to step in the ring with him again.
Tim Hobbs of Sky Sports quoted the Philadelphian WBC welterweight champion warning Khan:
"I am pretty sure it could happen but I doubt he will want to fight me after he's been knocked out because I was the last man who knocked him out before Canelo.
It could happen. It's up to him, if he wants to do it, I am down for whatever. I am the champion so I have to defend my title and he is the number one challenger, so that's what we have to do.
"

Khan could pursue a bout against Kell Brook—which would be a popular fight in the UK—but it appears the fighter is after the biggest names and payday.
Pacquiao would still offer a credible contest against his former training partner, but at 37, he is reaching the twilight of his sporting career.
Khan's knockout was vicious, and it is surprising he is so keen to get back in action after taking such a barbaric punch.
His chin has always been in question, and with Pacquiao's timing and speed, he could cause Khan significant damage.
