Steph Curry Left Hanging by Adam Silver During MVP Presentation

He earned the records, the trophy and the title. 

But there was still one thing Steph Curry couldn't have: a handshake from Adam Silver.

During the pregame presentation of his second consecutive MVP award Wednesday at Oracle Arena, the Golden State Warriors superstar extended his hand to the NBA commissioner and was left hanging, albeit accidentally.

Naturally, he played off the incidental rejection with an awkward, semi-casual hand motion, reinforcing what we've all come to love about the Baby-Faced Assassin: He's just like us.

Update (May 13)

Word must have made it back to Silver that he unintentionally ignored Curry's reach. At the MVP's later photoshoot, the NBA commissioner amended his oversight and gave No. 30 proper acknowledgment.

Laughing off the previous mishap, the pair firmly clasped hands and hugged the embarrassment away.
