The second round of the Players Championship tees off on Friday, with the year's largest single-tournament purse on the line for the world's best golfers.

TPC Sawgrass is one of the more intricate courses on the tour, with its most iconic hole being its largest hazard, which is the island green on the 17th.

This was Jordan Spieth's first appearance at a PGA Tour event since his collapse in the final round of the Masters back in April.

The No. 2 golfer in the world is not only looking up at Jason Day in the world golf rankings, he'll be teeing off with him on Friday at 1:58 p.m. ET.

Even with the wound still somewhat fresh, as it's been only a little over a month since the Masters, Spieth didn't seem fazed heading into the tournament, via the PGA Tour:

Day has a pair of wins this season, but he hasn't been overwhelmingly dominant either, as he finished 10th at the Masters and 23rd at the RBC Heritage. He did put together a fifth-place showing at the Zurich Classic, which could help him build some momentum into the Players Championship.

He still went to one of the best golfers of the past 20 years in Tiger Woods for some advice, via the PGA Tour:

Both golfers will probably be feeling plenty of pressure to be in the running for a title at TPC Sawgrass, but for Spieth, a win here could help right the ship that was rocked at Augusta in April.
