Da DevilCan Strike: Manchester United Striking Options

Zaakir HoosenSep 30, 2009

Looking ahead to a long season English Champion, Manchester United will look to all their striking options as they once again look to retain the crown of English football.

With the league, Carling Cup, FA Cup and Champion League to play for the young guns of Carrington will definitely play their role.

United over the years have always seemed to bring out the best from their young stars, and with an excellent youth academy Sir Alex's job is made easy.

With Rooney, Berbatov and Owen as the main attacking options, the second string doesn't seem that bad considering that they have had a taste of Premier League success already.

Fredrico "kiko" Macheda and Danny Welbeck both of whom have played a number of top flight matches will be joined by Joshua King this season as contenders for a First Team place.

King who hails from Norway will look to impress as his countryman Solskjaer did so many times for the Red Devils.

With the World Cup just around the corner and loads of International football to be played, injuries is another concern for mangers in ensuring they pose the best possible threat to opposing teams.

So looking at the road ahead for Manchester United, the form of Giggs and Anderson as attacking midfielders followed by the mentioned strikers, United look good for now.

While Chelsea seem to have enough fire power but with a transfer ban looming over their heads, the Blues will have to be cautious.

Liverpool and Arsenal both have limited resources at hand in terms of experienced players upfront, but the likes of Torres, Gerrard, Van Persie and Eduardo will enjoy a mouth full of goal opportunities.

All in all, this season will see much more action packed matches with money spenders City posing a possible threat in Carlos Teves, Robinho, Adebayor and Santa Cruz.

So if you looking for action, the English Premier League is the place to be this season, as it is every season. It just seems to get better and better.

May the best team win, and we know who that is....they have done it three years in a row.
