WWE NXT: Full Preview, Match Card and More for May 11
Welcome to Bleacher Report's preview for this week's episode of WWE NXT, where we'll take a spoiler-free look at what's in store for the developmental brand's upcoming episode.
Last week's show featured the debut of Eric Young. While the former TNA champion was unsuccessful in his first match against Samoa Joe, he made a big impression with NXT fans.
There won't be any major surprises on this week's episode, but we will get to see Alex Riley's final match inside a WWE ring.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Riley was one of the eight Superstars released last week, so his encounter with Shinsuke Nakamura will be the last time we get to see the former commentator for the foreseeable future.
Riley is a great competitor with a lot to offer, so he should be able to provide Nakamura with a good fight, but we all know who is going to have his hand raised at the end of the night.
The King of Strong Style is still undefeated in NXT, and it's doubtful WWE would have his first loss come at the hands of a guy who has one foot out the door.
The only other singles match featuring the men's division will see former NXT champion Finn Balor take on Elias Samson.
This seems like it would be an easy outcome to predict, but every so often, NXT throws fans a curveball. Samson has been impressive since NXT repackaged him a few months ago, and getting a win over The Demon would certainly put him in the hunt for the title.
Balor is looking to regain the NXT Championship after losing it to Samoa Joe at a live event a few weeks ago, so this might just be a warm-up match for the Irishman.
The tag team champions will also be in action this week when American Alpha goes up against the team of Corey Hollis and John Skyler.
Here is where things start to get predictable. We have seen Hollis and Skyler team up before, but they haven't been able to pick up a win.
Jason Jordan and Chad Gable need to rack up some victories as champions, and it looks like the two rookies will be sacrificed to make the tag champs look good.
Two women's matches will air Wednesday, and both of them will feature an established NXT star battling a rookie.
Adrienne Reese, who was originally known as Athena, will face Asuka in what will likely be a one-sided fight.
There's no point in speculating about this contest anymore. Asuka has been nothing but dominant since she arrived on the scene. She's not about to lose to a woman who hasn't had a televised victory yet.
The other women's match has Alexa Bliss taking on one of Lance Storm's students by the name of Rachael Ellering.
If that name sounds familiar, it's because she is the daughter of the legendary manager of The Road Warriors, Paul Ellering.
This isn't the first time a Storm Wrestling Academy student has appeared on WWE television, and it probably won't be the last.
Storm maintains a good relationship with WWE and often live-tweets during Raw, especially when one of his former students is featured in a match.
Again, this outcome is easy to call, but this isn't about winning for Ellering. In a way, this is like a WWE tryout for her. If she performs well, she could find herself with an NXT contract in the near future.
As you can see, this week's show has a healthy mix of new and established stars. None of the matches sound like showstoppers, but we can't expect a five-star bout every week.
What are you looking forward to on Wednesday's episode of NXT?
