Here is a video of the player in fine fettle this season:
Barcelona-based publication El Mundo Deportivo reported in March manager Luis Enrique wants to add the Sevillistas attacker in the summer, per Rodden, after scoring 27 goals in all competitions—leading his team to the UEFA Europa League and the Copa Del Rey finals.
Squawka.com highlighted the striker's standing amongst his French countrymen during the current campaign, ranking second behind Antoine Griezmann by only three goals:
Ben Hayward of Goal noted, after another fantastic display in Europe for Sevilla, how good the striker has been this season, arriving for a conservative total from Paris Saint-Germain in 2013:

Barcelona are also focused on claiming the free transfer of France international Hatem Ben Arfa but will have to battle Lyon for the winger's signature.
Sport (h/t (MailOnline's Anthony Hay) recently reported Barca are "stepping up their interest" in the former Newcastle United star after he plundered 17 goals in 33 appearances for Nice in Ligue 1, according to WhoScored.com.
However, Lyon also want their former player to rejoin them. The Kids owner Jean-Michel Aulas told RTL (h/t Hay): "This is a scoop - I had an exchange with Hatem Ben Arfa. He has not yet made his decision. If he returns to OL, it will end what we began when his career started here. It is credible."
Controversy has often followed the player during his exploits across Europe, and he would be a peculiar addition to the Barcelona squad.
Ben Arfa promised much in his early days as a player but lacks the temperament to be a top-class individual in a squad with depth, competing for the biggest prizes.
The Frenchman could serve as an auxiliary option for Enrique in La Liga, but he would be unlikely to get significant game time in Spain.
