USMNT Watch: Jermaine Jones Among In-Form Stars in MLS
United States men's national team manager Jurgen Klinsmann must be smiling from ear to ear when he looks at the match reports from across Major League Soccer each week.
Midfielder Jermaine Jones is one of the many USMNT stars gearing up for the Copa America Centenario by producing terrific performances at the club level. The 34-year-old continued his hot form on Saturday with a goal in the Colorado Rapids' win over Real Salt Lake.
In addition to the success of the USMNT-eligible players in MLS, a few others thrived across Europe over the last seven days.

Jermaine Jones Finding Form at Right Time
Jones has all but secured a spot on the final 23-man roster for the Copa America Centenario with his play for the Rapids over the last month.
The former New England Revolution player, who earned a move to Colorado right before the 2016 MLS season began, netted his third tally in four games at Dick's Sporting Goods Park on Saturday night.
As much as Klinsmann would like to shift away from the veterans and introduce more youth into his squad, Jones is forcing his hand at the moment. Barring a catastrophic setback, Jones should join Michael Bradley, Alejandro Bedoya and Fabian Johnson in midfield for the June tournament. The other few midfield positions are still up for grabs.
Elsewhere in MLS on Saturday, Jordan Morris found the back of the net for the fourth time in four games in the Seattle Sounders' 2-0 win over the San Jose Earthquakes. The 21-year-old also played a part in Clint Dempsey's opener.
The pair of Seattle forwards appear to be locks to make the roster at a crowded position that also includes Jozy Altidore, Bobby Wood, Gyasi Zardes, Christian Pulisic and Chris Wondolowski.
Altidore and Bradley were among the USMNT regulars who earned starting spots across MLS in Week 10. Matt Besler, Graham Zusi and Darlington Nagbe all played the majority of their respective matches as well.
DeAndre Yedlin Provides Assist on Sunderland's Game-Winner
DeAndre Yedlin, who could be used in a few different roles during the Copa, helped set up Jermain Defoe's game-winner in Sunderland's 3-2 win over Chelsea on Saturday.
The victory allowed the Black Cats to move out of the bottom three with two games remaining in the season. A win over struggling Everton on Wednesday would clinch survival for manager Sam Allardyce's men.

Geoff Cameron featured for 90 minutes at center back in Stoke City's 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Down in the Championship, Jonathan Spector, Tim Ream, Eric Lichaj and Danny Williams ended their respective seasons with starts. Emerson Hyndman came off the bench for Fulham in their 1-0 win over relegated Bolton Wanderers.
Former Columbus Crew Forward Aaron Schoenfeld Thriving in Israel
After spending four seasons with the Columbus Crew in MLS, 26-year-old forward Aaron Schoenfeld opted for a move to Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel.

The American striker boosted his season goal total to eight with a hat trick in Hapoel's 4-2 win over Bnei Yehuda on Saturday.
Although he is a long shot to make an appearance on Klinsmann's radar, it's worth noting the success of an American overseas. If he continues to produce in front of goal, Schoenfeld may attract interest from elsewhere next season.
John Brooks and Hertha Berlin Stumble Toward Finish Line
What could've been a historic season at Hertha Berlin has turned into one that can't end soon enough.
USMNT center back John Brooks and his teammates lost 2-1 to Darmstadt on Saturday to extend their winless streak to seven games across all competitions.

During the poor run of form, Hertha Berlin have dropped from third place all the way down to sixth with one game left in the season. They could drop further with a loss in the final week of the campaign since seventh-place Schalke also have 49 points.
Timothy Chandler and Alfredo Morales made substitute appearances for their respective sides on Saturday, while Fabian Johnson was left out of Borussia Monchengladbach's matchday squad.
News and Notes: Alejandro Bedoya Scores for Nantes
Alejandro Bedoya scored his fifth goal in all competitions for Nantes on Saturday in their 2-1 defeat at the hands of Caen.
Perry Kitchen went the full 90 for Hearts in their 1-1 draw with Ross County in the Scottish Premiership.
Four Americans started for Club Tijuana in their 0-0 draw with Atlas in Liga MX. Michael Orozco, Paul Arriola, John Requejo and Amando Moreno found their way into the Xolos starting XI.
