Canelo vs. Khan Results: Twitter Reacts to Alvarez's 6th-Round Knockout of King
Saul "Canelo" Alvarez delivered one of 2016's biggest knockouts Saturday in Las Vegas, stopping Amir Khan in the sixth round with a vicious overhand right.
It was the 33rd knockout victory for Canelo and further illustration of his immense power when he connects. Khan had arguably enjoyed the advantage for the majority of the fight until the sixth round.
Then, one punch changed it all:
Mere seconds after referee Kenny Bayless called the fight, fans already started looking toward a possible bout between Canelo and Gennady Golovkin, who was in attendance.
The Ringer's Bill Simmons was among many who are hoping to see the two stars oppose each other in the ring:
Golovkin's reaction after the fight appeared to say it all, per ESPN.com's Arash Markazi:
The Kazakh star didn't hesitate to fan the flames on Twitter:
Below are some of the best reactions on social media to Saturday night's fight:

The retirements of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao left a vacuum in boxing, with nobody immediately ready to fill the void. The sport has plenty of talented stars, but none can match Mayweather or Pacquiao in terms of box-office value.
Canelo and Golovkin are among those who may be able to come close to approaching that status, and pitting them against each makes tremendous sense.
And after Canelo's knockout of Khan, fans have likely grown even more desperate to see the fight.
