Kris Bryant Hits Ball off Michael Taylor's Glove and into Wrigley Field Ivy

Remember losing the whiffle ball in the bushes as a kid?

That’s what Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant did Thursday night.

The 24-year-old rocked a ball—an actual baseball, of course—off Washington Nationals pitcher Joe Ross to dead center in the bottom of the fourth at Wrigley Field, and Michael Taylor couldn’t handle it.

Bryant’s bomb caromed off Taylor’s glove and was lost in the ivy, resulting in a ground-rule double.

Chicago won, 5-2.
