Kentucky Derby Schedule 2016 Live Stream, TV Coverage and Lineup Info

It's Derby Day in America, as the 142nd Run for the Roses will bring the epicenter of the sports world to Churchill Downs in Kentucky. 

Hundreds of thousands of fans will be on hand to watch 20 horses try and win one of the most famous horse races in the world and will begin to follow that winner as he attempts to win the Triple Crown. 

There will also be millions at home and in bars around the world who will tune into the race, which will be extensively covered before post time at 6:34 pm ET:

This is a race that goes 1 1/4 mile, which will take around two minutes. While it doesn't seem like much, there will likely be enough drama to have people talking until next May. 

Last year's Derby made American Pharoah a household name, and his legend only continued to grow as the spring became summer and he became the 12th horse to ever win the Triple Crown. 

That same kind of fate can be just around the bend for one of the 20 horses in this field, which includes one of the most successful horses to ever participate in the Derby in favorite Nyquist. 

He'll have his hands full in a field that has some speed horses on the outside like Danzing Candy, along with horses that will push the envelope in the final stretch like second-favorite Exaggerator and Whitmore. 

With such a crowded field of horses that run different styles of races, the thing that fans can bet on is that the 142nd running of the Kentucky Derby will be grabbing the attention of the nation on Saturday evening.
