Things are never boring when Joe Maddon is your manager.

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, a mariachi band played in the Chicago Cubs clubhouse for some entertainment before the team hosted the Washington Nationals in a showdown between the best teams in baseball.

Because why not?

Maddon has always been one to think outside the box to keep his team loose. While it's not clear if the Cubs skipper is the one behind this, it looks like a page right out of his book.

A lot will be made of this early-season series between the Nationals and the Cubs, with some thinking it could be a National League Championship Series preview. That sort of hype can make players tense up, but bringing in a mariachi band for some pregame fun should help keep the Cubs relaxed.
