Ray Rice and Wife Janay Expecting 2nd Child

Alec NathanMay 4, 2016

Ray Rice and his wife, Janay, will be expanding their family in the coming months.

According to the Baltimore Sun's Brittany Britto, a spokesman for the former Baltimore Ravens running back said the two are expecting their second child.

Ray and Janay were married in March 2014, a month after TMZ released footage (warning: disturbing video) of the three-time Pro Bowler striking his then-fiancee in an Atlantic City casino elevator. Rice faced charges of third-degree aggravated assault, but they were dropped after he fulfilled the terms of his pretrial intervention, according to the Associated Press, via USA Today.

The Ravens cut Rice that September, while the NFL suspended him indefinitely. Rice appealed the NFL's decision and was reinstated, but he hasn't signed with a team since.

The Rices also have a four-year-old daughter, Rayven, and her new sibling is slated to arrive sometime in early fall, according to Britto.
