Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs: Live Score, Analysis for Game 2

Jared JohnsonMay 2, 2016

The Oklahoma City Thunder pulled out an exciting 98-97 victory over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 2 of the teams' Western Conference semifinal series to tie the matchup at one game apiece.

After the Spurs won Game 1 124-92, many assumed San Antonio would go to Oklahoma City up 2-0. The Spurs offense looked out of sorts early on Monday, however, and Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant were aggressive in transition as the Thunder took a 17-4 lead.

San Antonio fought back multiple times, mostly behind an epic performance from LaMarcus Aldridge (41 points on 15-of-21 shooting) and tighter defense. Oklahoma City kept the lead for much of the contest and even had a nine-point advantage midway through the fourth quarter.

The Thunder, however, held just a one-point lead with 13.5 seconds left in the game. They had possession, and Dion Waiters shoved Manu Ginobili while inbounding the ball, but the Spurs stole it. They couldn't get a quality shot, though, and time expired.

The series now moves to Oklahoma City, where the teams will play Game 3 at 9:30 p.m. ET Friday.
