Indiana Pacers vs. Toronto Raptors: Live Score, Analysis for Game 7

Jared JohnsonMay 1, 2016

The Toronto Raptors held on for an 89-84 win over the Indiana Pacers on Sunday night to advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals. It was the Raptors' first win in a best-of-seven series in franchise history, and the team's first overall series win since 2001.

Toronto looked in good shape for most of the contest, but doubt regarding the outcome started to creep in during the fourth quarter when the Raptors let their 16-point lead dwindle down to three points with 26 seconds left in the game due to poor offensive execution. Toronto was hardly even trying to get good looks, instead bleeding the shot clock and then throwing up tough attempts that usually missed.

On the Pacers second-to-last possession, though, they turned the ball over after a failed lob pass from Paul George to Ian Mahinmi. DeMar DeRozan then sunk two free throws to ice the game.

No player submitted a truly exceptional game for either team, but many of DeRozan's 30 points (10-of-32 shooting) came at key points in the game for Toronto. George had 26 points and 12 rebounds for the Pacers, but he shot 8-of-18 from the field and committed seven turnovers.

The Raptors now advance to face the Miami Heat in the second round. Game 1 will be in Toronto on Tuesday night.
