Reds 2B Brandon Phillips Makes Sick Behind-the-Back Flip, Celebrates with Dab
The Cincinnati Reds may have traded away a handful of their top players over the past year-plus, but Brandon Phillips is still on the team.
And as we have seen through the years, the flashy second baseman is worth the price of admission for fans—even when the team is struggling.
In the bottom of the sixth inning on Saturday night, Phillips added to his unbelievable highlight reel by making yet another ridiculous play. As he always does, the four-time Gold Glove winner made it look routine.

Pittsburgh Pirates first baseman John Jaso hit a dribbler just out of the reach of Reds pitcher JC Ramirez. Phillips, however, got to it. But because he didn't have much time, the three-time All-Star picked the ball up with his bare hand and flipped it behind his back all in one motion.
The highlight-reel play was worthy of a Gold Glove—and a celebratory dab.
As Phillips explained, via Chris Landers of MLB.com, he practices these types of plays so he's prepared for anything and everything during a game:
"I just work on plays that just might happen in a game, you never know when it might come up. I feel like if I practice on something it just happened in the game like it did today. As long as you make the play that's all that matters, even though I did look good making that play.
"
There's no denying "Dat Dude BP" oozes swag.
Unfortunately for Phillips, his Reds dropped the game 5-1—their sixth straight loss.
