Liverpool Transfer News: Joe Allen Swansea Return, Andriy Yarmolenko Rumours
Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen could be signed by former club Swansea City in the summer, it has been reported.
According to Riath Al-Samarrai of the Daily Mail, the Swans "will make him one of their top targets" at the end of the season as he enters the final year of his current deal at Anfield and "preliminary talks are currently not even planned over a renewal."
Per Al-Samarrai, Swansea are reluctant to meet Liverpool's demands of more than £10 million but would welcome his return after he joined the club as a youngster back in 1999 and became a key player in the first team prior to departing with manager Brendan Rodgers.

The 26-year-old has started just six Premier League matches for the Reds this season but has put in a number of impressive performances in recent months and started to feature far more regularly.
Bleacher Report UK's Jack Lusby has been one of many to laud his form:
So, too, has football writer Dave O'Connell, who has given him high praise indeed:
Allen's return to form under Jurgen Klopp after an underwhelming stint under Rodgers has shown he may be worth keeping.
The German himself seems to think so, though he indicated contract talks might not be held until the summer.
Per Max Miller of the Metro, Klopp said: "He deserves a future here, of course. He is in brilliant shape. We will see what happens, but for me it is not the time to talk about his contract now."
If the Reds can recoup most of the £15 million they paid for him, it may not be a bad move if the money is invested in another midfielder to take his place, but with each passing week, the Welshman is growing in stature and showing he can salvage his career at Anfield.
Liverpool have also been the subject of speculation after football agent Vadim Shabliy took to Instagram to reveal he was meeting with the Reds at their office in London:
According to Liam Spence of the Daily Express, it is expected the talks surround Dynamo Kiev winger Andriy Yarmolenko.
The 26-year-old has spent his entire career with the Ukrainian club but looks ready to make the step up to one of Europe's major leagues after bagging 19 goals and 13 assists this season.

There's space for a player to secure a starting berth on Liverpool's right flank alongside Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho, and Yarmolenko could be the player to do so.
O'Connell believes he could be a good buy but also warned against jumping to any conclusions that he was the player discussed in the meeting:
Indeed, as Spence noted, the agent also represents Viktor Kovalenko, Shakhtar Donetsk's up-and-coming midfielder.
Attacking midfield is an area the Reds look likely to strengthen in the summer, though, and Yarmolenko would be an excellent candidate to take the slot on the right of their three thanks to his ability to find the net himself and create for others.
