If you're a gambler, there are some good games to play this week in the NFL.

Flat-out locks, actually.

Let's start with the Bengals on the road, giving only 5.5 points to the Browns. I know these two teams hate each other, but this doesn't seem like enough points. Get all over the Bengals on this one.

Chicago is at home against the Lions. This game might be close. The Bears are not blowing anyone away so far this season. The Bears will win, but I like the Lions getting 10.5 points.

Indianapolis is at home against the Seahawks, who have not traveled east well the last couple seasons. The Colts cover the 8.5 point spread.

The 3-0 New York Giants are in Kansas City and giving 9.5 points to the Chiefs. This seems reasonable. Take the Giants.

The Redskins are at home against Tampa Bay. I think Washington will break out of their doldrums this week and beat new Buccaneers quarterback Josh Johnson by plenty. The Redskins are favored by 7.5. Take Washington in this one.

Tennessee travels to Jacksonville and is favored by only 2.5. Look for Tennessee to get well this week and win this game. Take the Titans and give up to 3.

Houston is at home against the hapless Raiders. I can't, with a clear head, suggest anyone take the Raiders at this early juncture. Houston is favored by 9.5 or 10. I would bet on Houston to cover.

New England is at home against the Ravens. Baltimore loses its first game this weekend and 2.5 to 3 points will be covered by the Pats. This one is not quite in the lock range, but still seems like an easy pick.

The Saints are at home against the Jets and this should be a pretty good game. After Drew Brees threw no touchdown passes last week, I think the New Orleans offense will overwhelm the Jets this week. New Orleans by 7.

Buffalo travels to Miami and the Dolphins get a couple of points at home. Miami quarterback Chad Henne looked all right in the second half last week after Pennington went out. I think the Dolphins may grit out a win here for a small upset.

Dallas is in Denver and the Cowboys are way more talented than the Broncos. The 3.5-point spread for Dallas makes it easy. Lock and load. Cowboys cover.

The 49ers are favored by 10.5 against the Rams. This seems like too many points, but I still have to go for San Francisco in this game. St. Louis has showed us nothing this season.

Pittsburgh is favored by 6.5 points over the Chargers and even I, a Steeler fan, am baffled at this line. San Diego is primed for revenge in this game after last season's playoff loss. Way too many points. I have San Diego. Lock this one up, as well.

The game of the week, of course, is Brett Favre and the Vikings on Monday Night Football against Green Bay. I like the Vikes by 3.5. Fun game. (Especially at a Packer bar.) Don't miss this one.

The locks of San Diego, Dallas and Cincinnati look very good for a three-team parlay.

Good luck to all your teams. I am currently at 25-23 against the spreads and am looking for a strong week. Last week was 9-7.
