Ralph Lauren Unveils Team USA's Closing Ceremony Outfits for 2016 Rio Olympics
With the countdown to the 2016 Rio Olympics reaching 100 days, the United States Olympic Committee used Wednesday as an opportunity to showcase the athletes' closing ceremony outfits.
You can judge for yourself what to make of them.
Obviously, featuring red, white and blue throughout the look is the key. Ralph Lauren certainly made sure to do so in all of its different outfits, giving athletes three different colors to choose from on the button-down shirt.
It is not visible in the picture up top, but the back of the shirts does feature the "USA" logo as well as the patch on the front.
The outfits are sure to inspire a wide range of opinions from fans. One sentiment may be that the stripes on the undershirt should have been red and white (like the flag) rather than blue and white. If you recall, that's the way the soccer teams went for the last Olympics.
Maybe Ralph Lauren didn't want to go with a "used" design. Maybe blue is just more fashionable. Only the designers can say for sure.
People will only remember the performances, not the outfits. But for the sake of fun, what grade do these outfits deserve?
