Justin Blackmon Pleads Guilty to DUI: Latest Comments and Reaction
Former NFL wide receiver Justin Blackmon pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor DUI on Wednesday morning in relation to a December arrest in Oklahoma, according to TMZ Sports.
Blackmon was banned indefinitely from the NFL in 2013 for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
This latest incident follows a pattern that has followed Blackmon, 26, throughout his college career at Oklahoma State and professional career with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Blackmon was arrested in 2010 for a DUI, though later had those charges reduced to underage alcohol possession. Then, in June 2012—shortly after being selected as the No. 5 overall pick by the Jaguars—he was arrested on another DUI in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
In July 2014, he was arrested on charges of marijuana possession, ultimately pleading no contest to those charges.
His off-field issues have stymied what looked to be a promising NFL career after he caught 64 passes for 865 yards and five touchdowns in his 2012 rookie season. The next season, he missed the first four games for a violation of the substance abuse policy before catching an impressive 29 passes for 415 yards and a score in four games.
That season was cut short, however, when he was indefinitely banned by the NFL, a ban that remains in place.
Jaguars general manager David Caldwell didn't hold out much hope in August 2015 that Blackmon's NFL career would ever get back on track, as he told Mike DiRocco of ESPN.com:
"I have not heard anything, and I guess I harbor a little bit of hope, but realistically I think when you're away from the game for two and a half years, what you were once is not what you probably will be. Your skills do erode, and especially if you're not staying in tip-top shape and you're not in football shape.
I don't know to expect, but I would say common sense would probably be if you haven't played football in two and a half years, apparently that's not a priority for you.
"
This latest arrest certainly makes Blackmon's reinstatement to the NFL in the foreseeable future a long shot at best.
