Is Albert Haynesworth "Worth" His Weight in Redskins' Gold?
It seems that the only thing fatter than Albert Haynesworth's paycheck is Albert Haynesworth.
Redskins' owner Dan Snyder shocked many by signing DT Albert Haynesworth to a contract worth $100 million this offseason. Looking to beef up his defensive front, Snyder truly found the "beef," all 350 lbs. of him.
Haynesworth impressed last season for the Tennessee Titans, recording 8.5 sacks and 50 tackles in his second Pro Bowl season. Obviously, someone knew it was time for a new contract and stepped his game up. Albert's 2007 and 2008 numbers overshadowed a less than impressive output in previous years.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Playing a full 16 games has also been a problem for the big fellow, only doing so in his 2002 rookie year. He was barely present for training camp and the preseason games with the Redskins, citing a phantom knee injury.
Further alarming 'Skins fans and management, Haynesworth went through the first two games without recording a single sack. Finally, against the feeble Detroit O-line, Albert came up with a sack on the immobile Lions' rookie, Matthew Stafford.
This is where a major problem came to light. After the sack, Albert was carted off the field. The cart is typically reserved for injuries, serious injuries, season ending injuries, career threatening injuries, injuries that take the breath out of the crowd.
This was not the case. "Fat" Albert looked to just be severely winded as he wound up returning to action later in the game. Very impressive, Albert. Is Haynesworth so large that the trainers can't even carry him off the field?
Well, this is the Washington Redskins $100 million dollar man. One consolation is that the $100 million dollar deal is incentive laden. Without an absurdly spectacular performance over the life of his deal, Haynesworth's contract is worth roughly $41 million. That may well be enough for Albert Haynesworth.
