Real Madrid Transfer News: Latest on Danilo and Cristiano Ronaldo Rumours

Juventus are reportedly "very interested in signing" Real Madrid full-back Danilo, while Paris Saint-Germain are eyeing Cristiano Ronaldo as a potential replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. 

According to Calciomercato’s Guglielmo Cannavale (h/t translator Edo Dalmonte), Juve are long-term admirers of Danilo—scouting him when he was at Santos—and are now looking to make a move for the 24-year-old, who "has mostly been bench material" at Real.

Since signing for Los Blancos from Porto for €31.5 million (£22.6 million) last summer, the 24-year-old Brazilian has, in fact, made 20 La Liga starts for the Madrid giants, netting two goals and providing four assists, per WhoScored.com.

However, he is in constant competition with Dani Carvajal for the starting right-back role at the Bernabeu and has come in for some criticism of late over his performances in the bigger games—especially the Champions League quarter-final first leg clash against Wolfsburg earlier this month, per Bleacher Report's Sam Tighe:

Carvajal came in for the second leg—when Real overturned a 2-0 deficit to advance to the last four—and was rightly hailed, along with Cristiano Ronaldo, as Madrid's key man in the vital clash, per Muhammad Butt of Squawka. 

The Spanish full-back is often credited with better defensive capabilities than Danilo, but the former Porto man has more than proved his worth this term as an attacking threat, per Opta:

Undoubtedly Juventus are attracted by the fact that Danilo can be a menace marauding down the flank, but that is also why Real are unlikely to let him go—at least not for less than they paid for him.

He is only in the first season of a six-year deal in Madrid and is hardly a fringe player, thus the Old Lady are likely to struggle in their chase of Danilo.

Equally, PSG are set for a difficult task in their reported pursuit of Ronaldo, 31, but French outlet L'Equipe (per Ligue 1 expert Jonathan Johnson) indicated that the Portuguese is a key target for them:

The French giants have long been linked with Ronaldo, and they reportedly see him as the ideal replacement for Ibrahimovic, who is set to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season, per John Cross in the Mirror.

The Swedish striker will leave big shoes to fill in the PSG attack, and the Ligue 1 champions will also be losing out on his incredible goal return—he has netted 32 times in the French top flight this season per WhoScored.

However, he remains Real's key man, even at 31, and surely only a staggering offer from PSG—likely around the £80 million Los Blancos paid Manchester United for him in 2009—could even tempt Madrid into letting him go.
