The Boston Herald's Jeff Howe, citing a source on May 8, reported that Easley worked out for multiple teams, including the Cincinnati Bengals.

After the New England Patriots released him on April 13, Easley was on the open market for a little over a month.

The Patriots drafted Easley 29th overall in 2014, but he recorded only three sacks in two years before New England released him.
