Sports World Reacts to the Death of Music Legend Prince

We lost an icon Thursday with the passing of pop legend Prince, and in the hours after the news of his death broke, the sports world took to social media to pay its respects to the late singer.

TMZ first reported the news just before 1 p.m. on the East Coast, and the Associated Press received confirmation from Prince’s publicist shortly thereafter.

Fans everywhere were heartbroken.
