LSU Spring Game 2016: Live Score, Top Performers and Analysis

Game Over. Purple Defeats White 17-7. 

LSU's imposing defense was on full display Saturday as it held the Tiger offense to just 24 total points as the Purple squad defeated the White in the annual National L Club spring game.

The first team defense, led by new defensive coordinator Dave Aranda, stifled the first team offense all afternoon as its only blemish was a Leonard Fournette touchdown. Nose tackle Davon Godchaux looks to be even better than last season, racking up two sacks while relishing in his new role.

Quarterback Brandon Harris was good, but not great. The junior completed 11 of his 16 throws and did not account for a score. He made good decisions, but there was no downfield threat as he totaled only 106 yards, much of which came agains the second team defense.

LSU has the makings of a national championship team with its outstanding defense and dominant running game, but unless Harris can prove he is a legitimate passer, the Tigers could stumble in 2016.
