Man Behind Chicago's 'Benny the Bull' Mascot Is Leaving After 12 Years

Kobe Bryant's retirement was emotional enough. But now? It's time to say goodbye to Benny. Benny the Bull.

Barry Anderson is his name, and after 12 years as the Chicago Bulls mascot, he is hanging up his uniform, he announced in a Facebook post, via the Chicago Tribune:

After 12 incredible years, it's come time for me to explore this world, this life, without my fuzzy red friend. In what's been an impossibly difficult choice to make, I've decided that June 30th will be my final day at the Chicago Bulls, where my heart will forever live.
"
