Manchester United Transfer News: Federico Bernardeschi Bid, Sekou Sidibe Rumours

The agent of Manchester United target Federico Bernardeschi has confirmed there is transfer interest in his client following reports that the Red Devils made a €28 million (£22.2 million) bid for the Fiorentina winger.

Giuseppe Bozzo spoke to Italian daily Tuttosport after fellow newspaper La Nazione wrote that United were also willing to offer Marcus Rashford on loan as part of the deal (h/t Sport Witness). Bozzo said: “There have been offers, but I think Bernardeschi is playing in the elite of Italian football and should think more about playing than the money or the prestige of other clubs."

Bernardeschi is poised to play a role in Italy's Euro 2016 campaign, where the forward's suitors will get a better look at his talents before a potential rise in price, depending on how he performs in France.

While Bernardeschi might be an investment for the future, a move for PSV Eindhoven wonderkid Sekou Sidibe is said to be in the works. However, the 14-year-old could be brought in with an even more distant future in mind.

According to the Sun (h/t Metro.co.uk's Max Miller), United are in the race to acquire Sidibe for a nominal figure due to the fact that he's yet to pen a professional contract in Eindhoven, meaning the English giants would only have to pay a compensation fee.

At just 14, little is known about Belgium under-15 international, but the fact that he's already playing in PSV's under-16 setup is evidence to the notion that he's beyond his years in playing ability.
