Liverpool Transfer News: Huge Mahmoud Dahoud Rumours, Latest on Piotr Zielinski
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will reportedly look to secure the services of Borussia Monchengladbach’s highly rated young midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud this summer.
That’s according to Paul Joyce from the Daily Express, who suggests the 20-year-old is on the Reds’ radar as the manager “looks to reshape Liverpool’s midfield.” Manchester United and Manchester City are also noted as interested parties, with Dahoud enjoying a tremendous campaign with Borussia.
Tony Barrett of the Times also noted the Reds are one of a number of clubs from the Premier League keeping tabs on the BMG prodigy:

According to Joyce, the Germany youth international is valued at around £20 million by Monchengladbach. Here’s a look at what he would bring to the nucleus of the side:
Dahoud has grown into a wonderful footballer at the heart of a vibrant Borussia side, forming a tremendous midfield pairing alongside Granit Xhaka. What makes the youngster such an exciting prospect is his ability to do so many things well, with his energy, defensive instincts and tackling all areas in which he excels.
But Dahoud has also shown a composure in the final third that exceeds his tender years, with four goals and seven assists this season in German football's top flight. Bleacher Report’s Jack Lusby is already looking forward to a potential partnership at Anfield with Emre Can:
You wonder whether a move this summer would be the correct course of action for the Syrian-born sensation. After all, it’s only this season in which he’s cemented himself in the Borussia first team and as impressive as he has been, it's Dahoud’s first season playing at an elite level. Too much too soon could shackle his development.

Playing under Klopp is a brilliant opportunity for any young German player, though, and the manner in which the Liverpool coach wants his teams to operate would suit the BMG’s tyro’s own attributes perfectly. If he’s available and the Reds can get themselves in pole position ahead of the Manchester clubs, it’d be a superb capture.
Piotr Zielinski Confirms Liverpool Interest

Liverpool are interested in Poland midfielder Piotr Zielinski, the man himself has confirmed.
The 21-year-old is currently on loan at Empoli from Udinese and has been strongly linked with a move to Merseyside. It seems as though there is some veracity to those stories too.
“There is a lot of truth in (talk of) the interest of [Klopp] in me,” he candidly revealed on Monday,” per Mark Dobson of the Guardian. “There was contact, I do not deny that.”
Here is a look at what Zielinski is capable of bringing to the Premier League should he be snapped up by Liverpool:
The youngster is another player who would tick a lot of boxes on the Klopp blueprint. Not only does Zielinski possess a willingness to work hard and hassle opponents, but he’s got a sharp football brain too. That much has been evident in the way he’s performed at Empoli, showcasing plenty of intelligence when on the ball in the final third.
Sports journalist Sam May thinks the Polish international would be a fine purchase, comparing him to one of European football’s most exciting attackers:
What would be a concern for a player like Zielinski is getting minutes in the first team. Already Liverpool are well off when it comes to attacking midfield positions, with Adam Lallana, Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho all performing well under Klopp.
Playing regular games for Empoli has been central to his recent refinements and should he move clubs this summer, Zielinski needs to ensure he’s guaranteed the requisite time on the field to continue what’s been some encouraging progression in 2015-16.
