Clemson Spring Game 2016: Live Score, Top Performers and Analysis
Orange 17, White 9, Final
It was a low-scoring affair in the 2016 Clemson spring game, but a lot of unanswered questions got answered on Saturday. With very little experience returning on defense that group will be an area of concern as we head into the next stage of the offseason.
The defense played well, but it's the offense that will make the analysts go crazy this summer. Quarterback Deshaun Watson played as well as we expected, and the skill players on offense are among the best in the country.
Nick Schuessler and Kelly Bryant continue to compete for the backup job, but there appeared to be a little bit of separation between them in the game. Bryant continues to be the more dangerous option with his legs, but there's no doubt that Schuessler is the more polished passer between the two at this point.
Not all of the questions were answered--and we shouldn't really expect that this early in the offseason--but it was refreshing to see a glimpse of this 2016 team.
