Dale Earnhardt Jr. Tweets His Favorite Type of Sandwich Is Banana and Mayonnaise

Peanut butter and jelly. Ham and cheese. Bacon, lettuce and tomato.

Those are among the most popular sandwiches in the United States, as they are all "safe" (and reasonable) choices. Banana and mayonnaise? A bold combination indeed.

According to Dale Earnhardt Jr., banana and mayonnaise are the only two ingredients he needs for the perfect sandwich. Of course, his tweet not only gives fans a glimpse into what he finds "delicious," but it also serves as a marketing tool, as ESPN's Darren Rovell notes that the NASCAR driver has a deal with Hellman's.

As for whether it's actually a good combination, we'll just have to take Earnhardt's word for it. Perhaps it's an acquired taste.
