Villanova Celebrates National Championship Victory by Canceling Classes
April 5, 2016
After the Villanova Wildcats captured their second national championship in program history—and first since 1985—with a thrilling 77-74 victory over the North Carolina Tar Heels on Monday night, there was no way Villanova students (or faculty) were going to be focused on academics Tuesday.
So the university did everyone a solid and canceled classes for the day.
Here's the official statement, via Villanova's website: "Due to last night's historic win, Villanova University and Villanova Law are closed and all day and evening classes are canceled today, April 5, 2016. The University Bookstore is open today from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m."
Way to do the right thing, Villanova.
