Joe GallagherApr 4, 2016

An Argentinian rugby player has been banned for almost a century after footage of an inexcusable incident went viral over the weekend.

Cipriano Martinez, a prop for Pucara Club, received a red card for a violent kick to the head of his opponent, San Albano forward Juan Masi, who was lying on the ground.

And now, according to Planet Rugby, Martinez's club, which plays in the First Division Union de Rugby Buenos Aires, has handed down a 99-year ban.
